Earnings from streaming platforms depend on multiple factors, such as the number of streams, the country of the listener, and the platform’s payout rates. 2side Music ensures that artists receive their royalties accurately and on time.

1. How Are Earnings Calculated?

Each platform calculates royalties differently:

  • Spotify: Pays per stream, with rates varying by country and user type (free vs. premium).

  • Apple Music: Pays a higher per-stream rate than Spotify, but revenue depends on subscription pricing in different regions.

  • YouTube Music & Content ID: Revenue is generated from ads and YouTube Premium streams.

  • TikTok & Instagram: Pays based on video engagement and song usage.

  • Other DSPs (Deezer, Tidal, Amazon Music, etc.): Each has different payout structures.

2. How Often Are Payments Made?

  • Streaming platforms typically report earnings 1-3 months late due to processing times.

  • Royalties are updated in your 2side Music dashboard once received from platforms.

3. How Can I Withdraw My Earnings?

  • Once your balance reaches the minimum payout threshold, you can request a withdrawal.

  • Payments are made via bank transfer or PayPal (subject to availability in your region).
